Mark this day down in history. Today: I signed a lease.
In less than a week, I'll be moving three stops southeast on the L into my new apartment near the Montrose stop in Williamsburg. Allow me to iterate my love for the L train.
The sublet/apartment hunt, going on a total four months now, has been one of the most frustrating challenges I've ever encountered. Renting and real estate in this city are beyond crazy. Lease in hand, and soon my keys, I have a feeling I will be settling in for a while. And those are words I've been longing to say for a very, very long time.
